My name is Holden Minor Ringer and I am 25 years old from Seattle, WA. Originally, I am from Dallas, TX where most of my family lives. However, I went to high school in Andover, MA and went to college at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
In my free time, I enjoy running and walking (shocker), especially in the Cascade mountains of Washington State where it is not uncommon for me to do 25-30 miles in a day. Other than being a USDA certified hardo, I enjoy reading, primarily non-fiction on History, Land Use/Housing, and active transportation issues. Additionally, I love bringing people together at picnics where we can all enjoy fresh air, good music, great company, and of course grocery store baguettes.
What brought me to Washington was an AmeriCorps VISTA (volunteers in service to America) program that allowed me to serve Snohomish County. While there I served as a Marketing Analytics VISTA that helped optimize the marketing efforts of HopeWorks, a non-profit in Everett that runs small businesses as a form of job training for those experiencing homelessness or chronic unemployment. It was in this environment of service where I was able figure out what was important to me and how I wanted to better the communities, states, countries, and world that I reside in.
