Support the Walk

Walking across the country is by no means an easy feat (I guess that is a pun). I have never pretended or denied that it was. The walk will most likely be the most challenging endeavor I have undertaken in my short life thus far. Although the walk is fully funded and it will be my feet that will carry me to the Atlantic, the help and support from others will be invaluable. This journey would/will not be possible without the kindness, generosity, and aid of those already in my life, and those of whom I will meet along the trek. Below I have listed some ways that people interested can help.

Reaching out and Encouraging:

Probably the most effective way to see that I make it from one end of the country is through reaching out and encouraging. It is hard to quantify the value of kind words and encouragement, but if one could their value would be immense. If it is texting, reaching out on social media, calling, or whatever the means of communication the thought really does count. Although, I may not always be responsive or there will be times when I try to hide my struggles, I promise that I will greatly appreciate the support. Whether you are family friend, someone who I meet along the journey, someone who I have not spoken to in awhile, or someone who has never met me I will always appreciate kind and uplifting words.

Engage, Follow, Share:

I would not say that social media is my specialty by any stretch of the imagination. With that being said, social media is a great tool for spreading information quickly with a large group of people. A large part of why I am undertaking this walk is to bring attention to issues that I care about, namely pedestrian safety. For me to bring attention to those issues, using social media is a fast and effective way to spread my message.

I will need your help in getting the word out by engaging with me, following along, and sharing my story with others. My goal in regards to social media will be to give an authentic look at my personal experience. On the flipside, my hope is that my story will not be distorted through the mediums upon which it is showcased. At times it may be tough to be consistent. Over the course of the walk, I would not be surprised if the way I engage with social media changes.

Do you know people who could host me?

Probably the most urgent thing I would ask for help on in regards to this subject is helping me find places to stay. By sharing my story with people you may know along the route, that will make the journey much easier than if I were to sleep in a tent every night. I can confirm that I do not know someone in every part of the country, but the hope is by sharing my journey with enough people that it will be easier to find people to host me. If you are interested in reaching out to help me find a place to stay, shoot me an email an I will send you the route.

For those interested the states I (should) be going through are: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, DC, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut . There will be more, but these states are practically guaranteed.

Donate on Patreon/Venmo/Cash App:

Although the walk is fully funded by me, I won’t turn down someone sending me money to buy a meal or get a hotel room for a night. There will be times where I will undoubtedly feel lonely and disconnected from the rest of the world rolling on ahead, but buying me a warm rotisserie chicken or some canned pears will for sure help me combat those feelings.

Partnerships/Sponsorships

Lastly, if you or anyone you know would be interested in doing a sponsorship or partnership feel free to reach out. I am not a sellout (at least not yet lol), but if someone uncontroversial wants to support the walk or the mission, I am always willing to have a conversation. If you guys start seeing me do ads for Manscaped or Raid: Shadow Legends or NordVPN feel free to come slap me wherever I may be.

Swiftwick has sent me some socks and I have been very appreciative
